I'd
like to invite you on a great learning adventure.
Over the past several years, I've been approached
countless times by women who have expressed interest
in starting in the sport of fly fishing or improving
on their fly fishing skills. They want a course that
is a "women only" experience.
I
am blessed to be able to guide in the Cariboo Region
of British Columbia, Canada, in one of the most beautiful
places on earth, and I would like to share this experience
with you. The BC Trout are plentiful and often large.
We will be fishing on and around Quesnel Lake with
300+ miles of shoreline, numerous feeder creeks, rivers
and abundant wildlife with few or no other people
present. Imagine a classroom such as this! I would
be honored to have you join me at the Rainbow Waters
Women's Fly Fishing Academy.

Waters Fly Fishing Academy Course Outline:

Rod
and reel components - their differences and what
is best suited to you

Fly lines - different types and their uses

Leaders and tippets - which ones to use and how
to tie your own

Basic Knots

Fly selection - different uses and presentations

Entomology and other food sources

Basic trout biology and behavior patterns

Casting techniques
-
Line control and presentation

Boats - types to cover different fishing situations

Hooking-up and playing the fish

Proper release techniques

Fly fishing etiquette

Wildlife awareness - safety in the wilderness

Safety in and around the water - including proper
wading techniques
Most
of the above will be taught on the water, which is
by far the best classroom.
It will also include lots of personal fishing time,
and a great deal of fun. A comprehensive manual will
be given to each person to take home for reminders
of what they have learned.

equipment will be supplied, with the exception of
the following items.

Prices
are per person, based on double occupancy. To ensure
the utmost quality experience, class size is limited
to a maximum 2 women per class.
