From Vancouver take Trans Canada No.1 to Cache Creek,
then Hwy. 97 north to 150 Mile House just before Williams
Lake, turn east onto the secondary paved highway to
Horsefly.
Once
in Horsefly, turn right at Clarke's Store and cross
the Horsefly River, as if going to Horsefly Lake.
Now follow the signs to Elysia Resort (26 miles of
well-maintained gravel road). Total driving time from
Vancouver is about 8 hours.

IT'S
OFFICIAL - PASSPORTS WILL BE NEEDED FOR AIR TRAVELLERS

2007
The
U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S.
Department of State
announced that passports will be necessary for anyone
entering the U.S. via
AIR TRAVEL, including returning U.S. citizens, beginning
January 23, 2007.
The
travel document requirements make up the Department
of State and
Homeland Security's Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative.
WHTI requires all
citizens of the United States, Canada, Mexico, and
Bermuda to have a
passport or other accepted document that establishes
the bearer's identity
and nationality to enter or re enter the United
States form within the
Western Hemisphere.
In
addition to the passport, a valid NEXUS Air Card
or Merchant Mariner
Document (MMD) will be acceptable.
A
separate Proposed Rule addressing LAND AND SEA TRAVEL
will be published at
a later date proposing specific requirements for
travelers entering the
United States through land and sea border crossings.
No date has been set
for land or sea travellers at this time. Passports
for land and sea travel
may be required as early as January 1, 2008. U.S.
citizens traveling between
the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and
South America, the
Caribbean, and Bermuda by LAND OR SEA may be required
to present a valid
U.S. Passport or other documents as determined by
the Department of Homeland
Security.

E-LICENSING
BC Fishing Licenses Now Available OnLine
Non-Tidal
Angling Licenses are now also available on-line.
The new Non-tidal (Freshwater) Fishing E-Licensing
system allows anglers to register to obtain an angler
number and purchase their basic Non-Tidal Angling
License, Classified Waters Licenses and Conservation
Surcharge Stamps, at any time. Anglers may also
obtain electronic licenses from their local Service
BC Centre or any license vendor who may offer this
service. For a listing of Service BC Centers and
license vendors, go to srmapps.gov.bc.ca/apps/lvs/.
In
addition to the electronic licenses, paper licenses
will continue to be available for the 2008/09 licensing
year. Please note: Anglers who purchase a paper
basic Non-Tidal Angling License in 2008/09 will
only be able to add paper Conservation Surcharge
Stamps and paper Classified Waters Licenses. Anglers
who purchase an electronic basic Non-Tidal Angling
License will only be able to add electronic Conservation
Surcharge Stamps and Classified Waters Licenses.
