Available
to all guests
We have everything
that it takes to make your trip comfortable, safe
and fun.
Panoramic
Dining Room, Patio & Bar
Our
180 degree view dining restaurant, bar and patio,
set on a hillside and overlooking both the North and
East Arms of Quesnel Lake, makes you feel like you
are on top of the world. The views are simply astounding
and ever changing.
Inside,
you will be greeted by one of our staff and taken
to a table (inside or outside, depending on your choice
and the weather). Our dining room is small, intimate
and friendly. We only have eight tables, and serve
a maximum of 30 guests at a time. Relax, meet new
friends, and enjoy your evening.
Tackle & Fly Shop
Our
Tackle & Fly Shop is more than what it sounds
like. It is also a gathering place or a place to sit
quietly during the day, curled up on the couch reading,
enjoying something special to drink. Besides also
having flies and tackle, this room in the lodge houses
the Foos Ball Table (FUN!), Games, Videos, Puzzles
and a Book Library.
Retail
Clothing
Located
in the foyer of the lodge, we sell a small assortment
of clothing with Elysia's logo. For either yourself
or a gift for someone back home, we have name brand
hats, shirts, hoodies and jackets available in your
size.
Miscellaneous
Toiletries and Amenities
Forget
something? We have various toiletries and amenities,
cameras, batteries, and bug spray, etcetera. If we
don't have it available and for sale, chances are
one of the friendly staff will run to their house
and lend or give you one of theirs.
Full Service Marina
Elysia
Resort has the only full service marina on Quesnel
Lake. We sell fuel and oil, rent boats, launch your
boat, store your boat on land, put your boat out on
a buoy, and provide moorage.
Canoes
& Paddles
Down
at our marina we have several canoes available at
no charge for the guest's use. It's wonderful to go
for a short canoe ride at sunset, or a quiet paddle
in the morning.
Firepits and Firewood
We
have several strategically located firepits available
for guests to have a bonfire at night. My favorite
place to have a fire is down at the beach with the
small waves lapping at the shore and the loons calling.
Darrel makes sure there is oodles of firewood for
your use. In fact, Darrel will often be the one who
lights a fire down at the beach for guests to enjoy.
Outdoor
BBQ Shack
If
you're staying in a rustic or deluxe cabin, we invite
you to use one of the two BBQs we have set up for
you. The cooking area is under cover, and there is
a picnic table nearby so that you can opt to eat right
there. We encourage everyone to do their barbecuing
here, instead of at their cabin, where there is no
chance of unwanted fire.
Playground with Horseshoes,
Badminton & Volleyball
Do
you have kids, or do you just feel like a kid? We
have a whole playground area just for you! We provide
horseshoes, badminton, volleyball, bocce, croquet
and lawn bowling.
Outdoor Hammocks & Picnic
Tables
Picnic
tables and strategically placed (some hidden) hammocks
are available around the resort. You can read a book
in a hammock until you fall asleep from utter relaxation.
Golf Carts for Getting Around
We
use golf carts to get around, and so should you. The
hill from the lodge down to the marina is lovingly
called Cardiac Hill. It's OK going down but
it can be quite a challenge going up. But not with
one of our golf carts!
Turf
Air Strip
We
have a 2700 foot turf airstrip that borders our property,
and, that we maintain on behalf of Transport Canada.
We are an approved airstrip and are registered in
the Canada Flight Supplement (Aerodrome Location Indicator
CBK6). Always, when planning to use a turf air strip,
call ahead for a turf condition report.
Hot
Tub
Tired?
Cold? muscles from catching lots of fish? Relax and
have a soak in Elysia's hot tub. Our hot tub is open
24 hours a day to responsible adults. It's wonderful
to sneak down to the hot tub after dark and watch
the stars or the Milky Way. If you are really fortunate
you will get to see the Northern Lights.
