flyfishing is by far the most effective method of
angling in this region, we appreciate that some of
our guests enjoy other methods. Listed below is the
equipment you'll need for conventional methods. However,
for those coming to experience our trophy waters,
many of which are catch and release and "Fly
Only," be prepared to be converted!
Other Types of Angling Methods
Trolling
Trolling
is common and productive on Quesnel Lake. Trolling,
with or without down riggers, is good all season.
Because the waters are glacially fed, the temperature
remains fairly constant all season.

Spin Casting
During the months of July, August and September are
the best times on the big lake. Try your luck spin
casting the feeder stream mouths.
